A local merchant decided to rebrand his business, which included maintaining the successful humidor and cigar sales portion of the business and adding an upscale bar and dining area. The work involved considerable demolition to expand the space and expose a canvas for creating an elegant dining area.
The adhoc cashier’s counter gave way to a bar, which features a body of hammered copper and a top of tobacco leaves, buried under a heavy lacquer finish. The bar was designed like a cockpit, with everything precisely located and within easy reach.
A covered patio was added along the entire length of the lease space so that customers could enjoy their food as the shoppers pass by, or simply enjoy smoking a fine cigar.
